Song topics like bright colors, the space shuttle, flowers, fascination, false fairy tale heroes and coming of age at any age. A foot in the door of 80’s record store, underground alternative.

Q:
Quentin "Q" Talley began acting in Greenwood, SC in community, high school and church theater productions. He continued training at Winthrop University where he seriously began writing poetry, performing as a Slam Poet, and directing stage productions.

He has performed throughout the country at the Nyroucian Poets Society (New York, NY), Bowery (New York, NY), Austin Poetry Club (Austin, Texas), Tampa Slam (Tampa, Florida), and Durham Bull City Slam (Durham, NC). Placed 12th in 2006 at the Individual World Poetry Slam, 2nd in the nation with team Slam Charlotte at the National Poetry Slam in 2005, and is a two time Southernfried regional champion, in 2005 & 2007. He was has also appeared in the open door Borders Poetry series and the Turner South network.

"Q" also performed throughout the country as poet at many colleges and universities, University North Carolina at Charlotte, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, College of Charleston, Western Carolina University, University of Hawaii, and University of Florida at Saint Pete. He has shared the stage with Bishop Desmond Tutu, Nikki Giovanni, CeLo, MC Lyte, Ted Turner and Tavis Smiley.
