Just returning from a sold out European Castle tour–the minstrels of Blackmore's Night are delighted to be back home again to perform for their fans here in the USA before returning to the recording studio. Blackmore's Night is the unique musical Renaissance/Folk/Rock project of Legendary guitarist Ritchie Blackmore and award winning singer/songwriter Candice Night.
Achieving fame as the composer and guitarist for Deep Purple and Rainbow, and writer of rock's national anthem "Smoke on the Water," Blackmore always had a private passion for the bombastic regal music of the Renaissance period. When he teamed up with lyricist Candice Night, he was immediately drawn toward her nature driven lyrics and ethereal vocals-and the duo created their own genre of music, encompassing the melodies of Renaissance times, but also capturing the romance, passion and chivalry of the time period–and rearranging the melodies using contemporary rhythms and instruments.
