The Air Station is an alternative rock band based out of Charlotte, North Carolina. They released their debut record “The Human Condition” on October 19th, 2010. The album was produced, engineered, and mixed by highly acclaimed producer James Paul Wisner, and was mastered by the legendary mastering engineer Bob Ludwig. James has produced albums such as Dashboard Confessional’s 2001 release “Places You Have Come To Fear The Most” which is certified Gold by the RIAA and Underoath’s “They’re Only Chasing Safety” that sold over 500,000 copies between it’s two releases. Bob Ludwig is one of the most accomplished mastering engineers of all time, simply put he has worked with the biggest names in rock and roll over the past forty years.
The Human Condition is a driving melodic pop rock album that has a sound reminiscent of the late 80's or early 90's mainstream pop rock scene. Think Achtung Baby era U2 meets Jimmy Eat World. The music is driven by straightforward drums and delayed guitar sounds. The bands' positive lyrics have an overall theme of hope and speak to many big ideas and address problems that many can relate to as people living in the modern world. Overall the music is a very spiritually uplifting experience.
The Air Station is comprised of all of the former members of the Charlotte, North Carolina based band hot vegas, and is basically an evolution of the former band. With singer/songwriter Andrew X at the helm, Alex Stewart on guitar, Austin Eller on the drums, and Logan Hall on bass, The Air Station is taking off from a runway that was paved by the band Hot Vegas.
Hot Vegas was an independent band that was known for it’s “work hard, work smart” ethics, do it yourself mentality, and memorable songs. hot vegas was formed in 2003 and played live shows until the end of 2008. They played over 200 shows throughout the eastern half of the United States. They self booked and promoted tours that spanned from as far north as upstate New York to as far south as Miami, Florida. From the east coast to as far west as Kansas City hitting most every major city in between. They formally released two full-length albums and one EP. They were most known for their latest album “Migration” that was produced by award winning producer Matt Goldman. Migration was released in 2006 and it’s music has been used on several nationally televised shows such as MTV’s The Real World and Oxygen Network’s Bad Girls Club among several others. Migration also received high ratings by various online music websites such as Emotional Punk and Paste Punk.
Over the five-year span of the band hot vegas garnered industry attention from several major and independent labels, management companies, online media, and some large national recording artists, but more importantly they developed a loyal fan base and strong relationships with the venues and bands which they shared the stage with.
While working on The Human Condition the band decided to take a break from playing live shows and to use that time to focus on what they could do to continue to progress forward with their music career. The time off allowed them to reflect on their past and plan for their future. It was then that they decided to change the name because they no longer felt that they were the same band that they were when hot vegas started. So after careful consideration they decided to change the name to The Air Station.
The founding principles of hard work and dedication coupled with honest songwriting and entertaining live performance, which were the qualities that continued to propel hot vegas to new heights over the span of the band, are still the fundamentals The Air Station is based upon. Though The Air Station may be on the same journey that they set out on several years ago when hot vegas began, they now have a new vehicle, and it is one that is capable of taking them higher and farther than ever before.Formed in 2012, Luke Hill and Kevin Smith started writing music they love. Adding members Chris Hill and Skyler McNabb were missing pieces they needed. Devin Forbes was the last piece and the band was complete. Animals pulls from many different genres of music but as a band they create a unique and fun sound that is refreshing, loud, and fun.

Tanner Morita grew up in the shadow of a mountain -- amidst the pines and tributaries. He fell asleep at night to the sound of the rain's persistent rapping upon the rooftop. The cold weather and dreary skies became a model -- for how amidst great distress, can such beauty spring forward. The ode to his modern compositions.
Growing up the youngest in a very musical family, he was surrounded by teachers able to shed wisdom upon the aspects of being a musician and surrendering your mind and self to the art. Now, Morita writes music for film and self -- taking lessons from both his early teachers and his early landscape; while also writing for video -- taking on a different, more shape-shifting, fluid approach to writing for the specific projects needs.
Currently, SUNNE resides in N. Carolina, where he works in his Charlotte studio on his forthcoming debut Extended Play Album.
