Banned From Utopia (BFU) is the Zappa tribute act featuring more of his former band members than any other band currently touring.
Ray White (Zappa band ’76-’84) guitar & vocals, long time front man for Zappa on many tours & albums, including SNL, the watershed ZAPPA IN NEW YORK.
Scott Thunes (Zappa band ’81-’88) Frank’s longest running bassist, also held the prestigious title of “Clonemeister,” the MD leading the band in rehearsals.
Robert Martin (Zappa band ’81-88) keys, sax, & vocals, Robert has also worked with Stevie Nicks, Etta James, Paul McCartney, etc

Robbie Seahag Mangano (Project Object, The Grandmothers, Ed Palermo Big Band)

The Paul Green Rock Academy (PGRA) is the latest music program from School of Rock founder Paul Green. From the very beginning of his teaching career Paul has taught the music of Frank Zappa, calling it “one stop shopping for musical education.”
While co-headlong the German Zappa festival Zappanale in 2023 Paul and his students got to see Banned From Utopia in action, and vice versa, and an instant bond was formed between the act
