January 26th 2020, 7pm at the Visulite Theatre, Carol McLeod of Mans’ Jam and Tommy Ballard come together to present That 70s Show II featuring Charlotte’s own Mo Money band and friends. This show will expand on last years event by adding music from the 60s and 80s to the 70s line up. Just like last year this is also a great opportunity to dress in those bell bottom jeans or powder blue tuxedo that you’ve been dying to put back on. Just like last year, this will be a party not to be missed!

Why does this event happen? Why does it matter?

December 2012 at age 54, William “Mans” McLeod lost his battle with a brain tumor. At age 57, Steve Ballard lost his. To honor Steve and to give back to the people that did their best to help, Tommy Ballard, Steve’s youngest brother, held his first event 7 years ago. Carole McLeod came to one of those events and decided she want to do something very similar to honor her late husband, Mans. Both events were very successful. This year Carole and Tommy decided to pool their talents and resources and have one larger event. That brings us to where we are today.

Duke University’s Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center is leading the fight against the worst kind of brain tumor you can have, glioblastoma or GBM. This tumor took the life of my brother and Carole’s husband. In the past there was no hope. The great news now is that Duke is offering hope and there are success stories where there was always loss. For that reason, 100% of the proceeds of this event will go to The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center through their fund raising arm called Angels Among Us. We also have the opportunity to have much of our proceeds doubled through a matching funds program that Angels offers. I believe that any amount over approximately $7600 will be doubled. Add that to the fact that not one penny of money raised will go to administration fees or other fees. Once the cost of the event is covered then ALL the rest goes to fight cancer!

Only 500 tickets will be offered for this event. We are asking for $25 donations but will of course accept more. There will be an auction as well so bring lots of extra money for your chance at a wonderful trip or item.

Any questions or to offer a donation or auction item, please call Tommy Ballard. 704-634-3959
